In addition to theses charity walks, the Lupus Foundation also has local chapters and an online community that serve as support groups for individuals who suffer from Lupus. While it is important to fund research for better treatments and cures for the disease, it is equally important for patients to have strong support groups consisting of family members and other people that suffer from the condition.
